#Kissing Under the Mistletoe

During the holiday season, mistletoe,
a small plant with red berries, is placed above a doorway.
If a boy and a girl stand under the mistletoe together,
they have to kiss. This tradition dates back to an ancient Norse myth.
If enemies met in a forest under mistletoe,
they were supposed to put their weapons down.
For the next 24 hours, they had a truce.
This eventually turned into the tradition we know today.
